hey i dont think it has been requested before, but does anyone else agree we should have our own private tracker for torrents, i mean how much does it cost for a server thingo? im sure we can all chip in ay?

LOL, it's actually not a bad idea but only if it was restricted, for example only users with X amount of posts.
Edit: BTW, trajillo, when did you celebrate your 97th birthday?

I dont think the admins of this site would want to run a tracker.
I mean they already have a fairly large userbase here if they had any intention of doing so I think they would have done so by now.
On the side note I wouldnt get all that excited about a new tracker cause you havent even seen 1 of this sites staff members comment on the idea with a yay or a nay.

There are also a lot of legality issues involved as well. The way FST operates now they stay away from the courts.
