Getright without a doubt.

Automatically finds mirrors for you, also has a linked site showing most popular downloads, and a search too.

And it also gathers anonymous info about what you downloaded and from where so that others can find it.

Sounds a bit like a file sharing concept - don't know how they get away with it.

I've always used GetRight. I like it. Never tried anything else so I don't know if it's the best.

I'm using modem and the speed usually around 4.5kb/s :)
Sometimes it rocks to 5.0kb/s + 8) ;D

My 56k modem only connected as a 33.6k modem. Stupid phone lines. Now it doesn't matter because I have 10Mbps (10BaseT ethernet).

Try it... I've got a dynamic IP, ;D and I don't keep the computer running all the time so I get a new IP after rebooting.

the best download manager ? well the best *cracked* i have is fashget v1.0 ... hahaha ... 30 parts file split, 100 similtaneous downloads, ftp browsing, webpage processing =) it's definitely good for sites with xtremely slow speeds and for people with cable and above ...

btw, dun use it on a 56k modem, coz you wun have the bandwidth to surf webpages while you download ... haha

i din have any problems with version 1.0 cracked .... except it would sometimes lock up my computer when d/l speeds reach 1000 over (at 180 files and 30 parts each , it's quite easy to reach such speeds ) ... then have to wait for d/ls to finish before i can continue to use my computer

IMHO, FlashGet is simply the best... shenlong_wc pointed out the main features, I would also add its file management system, a quite unique feature compared to other strong competitors (DAP, GetRight, Reget). You move a file to some other category within FlashGet and this is automatically relocated in your HD, too... Cool :D

NetPump is also good (although it seems to insint on browser integration too much), and it works with anti-leech url's very well (even resumes...)

Btw, FlashGet latest version is 1.31

I havent used flashget... but i have used DAP, gozilla, getright, and some others, and getright is the thing for me. But being on broadband, there isnt a super lot of need for long resumed downloads any more via the web. So i havent used it much yet.

i couldn't find a new 30-split crack for flashget, that's y i stayed with the old one ...

btw, on broadband , a manager would be more useful for "hamering" a server for max d/l speeds ... ie. my cracked flashget ... this kinda makes the brodband more useful .. haha

well, i'm sorry if we don't share the same views lynx, and frankly speaking i'm not in the mood to justify my actions, as this is just another cheater vs. non-cheater case. everyone has their own reasons and justifications and i'll just respect yours.

I use flashget 1.3.1 and I think it's the best. I have used ones that split the file more but were still slower. The only one I have seen that does better is DLExpert but DLExpert is really buggy and hasen't been updated for a while.

Um... i just downloaded getright from their website... got a crack from Cracks.AM (http://www.cracks.am), or a keygen, something... and it takes all the shit out of it... and then i just update via the options... worked jsut fine.

I'm just installing Netpumper, and found out that it includes CYDOOR (shudder) software. Ad-aware removed cd_clint.dll and cd_htm.dll (what's that ?) from windows SYSTEM32 folder (tricky eh?) so replaced the cd_clint.dll with the one from from kazaa-lite. Also it doesn't support proxy so I'll have to run it through sockscap.
Hmmm, doesn't seem to work that way, but it works if connected directly, which is a bummer. Any ideas on that would be welcome.

i'm using netpumper1.0, adaware v5.0 doesn't seem to find the files you've mentioned Lynx. I'd never seen there was spyware in netpumper? Must i been worried or is it only in a later version of netpumper?

Just a question..u all seem 2 b on broadband/cable etc,but Australia is still 2 expensive.Is there a fast,reliable program 2 get a 56k modem pumping better???mine connects at 54000 but only averages speeds of 4-5kbs.Not very efficient 4 long d/loads.Btw dload acccelerator and kazaa r a bad choice.On my machine every time I went 2 preview a file dload accel tried 2 open a webpage..Thnks 4 lettin me ramble

The latest version of NetPumper (v1.02) definitely includes Cydoor spyware (it even tells you that it includes it).
Think I'll try leechget.

I use FlashGet 1.1 and would definitely say it's faster than DAP, just get rid of all the Cydoor first, never tried GetRight because Iv'e never had reason to change, - Shenlong I'm curious as to how you manage to split downloads into 30 parts, on my copy the split is 10 max.
