How do I paste an image in my posts?

Such as an image of my window that I have running that I save to a text document cos when I choose to copy it, it will not paste to the post I am making on the forum.

I believe you have to link the image from another web host or page. I don't think that you can upload it directly from your pc.

So if you have some web space. You post the image there, then use the url of the location in the img function.

Well that sucks if I have to get a web page just to post images for the forum.

Sounds like expense to me and I only want things for free!!!!!!!! :D

You can try to get one of those free Hardrive space online and store your pics there. Then you can link it to a post.

Yahoo (http://www.yahoo.com) has free websites available with 15mb storage.
Plenty if you just want it for pics.

Yeah, it is hard to find a pic on the web, especially one that the url end in jpg. Thanks for the direction to a free webpage. I will get some original pics up soon.

Pete, most UK ISPs give you some free Web Space (enough for a few pictures at least).

You've just gotta ask them ;)

I've heard Yahoo were getting a bit arsey lately about people just signing up to Geocities ,etc, and just using it as a place to store pics to link to from other site, forums, etc.

I think they've found a way to stop people this, if someone knows how to get round their restrictions, let me know.
