Which of the three AC3 encoders is the best, Aften (which is what I've been using, BeSweet or Sonic Soft Encode?:frusty:

AFTEN is the best AC3 encoder - period !!

I use Aud-X because its made to work with "Virtual Dub Mod Aud-X Enabled" and allows you to rip a movie from dvd with decrypter or shrink as 1 vob file, then using V Dub encode the vob to divx or xvid and the sound with aud-x to 5.1 surround sound. So you end up with a 700mb avi with 5.1 sound. Thats what I mainly use ac3 for anyway, avi videos.
