used to prefer winMX to kazaa because of those anime-only servers , where the whole community who connected to that serve were all anime sharers ...

but now winmx is like ... dying ... dyding... dead ...

Tried WinMX, but its default configuration is to only allow one download per person. WTF is that? Why can we only download ONE file at a time from a person if he still has free slots left??? Normally when you download from someone you download more than one file from him. WinMX is the worst filesharing program I've tried, but I haven't tried many so it may not be the worst. eDonkey is very close to WinMX IMHO. The best are definitely DC and Kazaa Lite in that order.

And for the anime guy, I saw yesterday several people (in non-anime DC hubs) that had many anime movies. I don't watch anime so I can't tell if there were any good movies though.

i have treid it, it's same like old napster but when i had to chose between WinMX and k-lite than i chosed k-lite but i was not sure WinMX also great progeram ;D

::)Yeah it use to be great,I mean I loved it.I was part of a squad there,we had like 7 guys that would help each other look for songs from movie scores.It was a great community,I miss the chat rooms,I hope kazza gets some chat rooms.

I had this problem when they went to 3.0 I think it was. It used to kick ass, but then it just became one big ass fuckin queue. The only way to download anything was to jump in a chat and trade or beg. The two things I miss about MX is that there wheren't as many leechers, and you didn't have to d/l anything like k-lite becuase it didn't have any of that stupid spy-ware/ad-ware.

i have both WinMX and K-Lite and both are good porgram.. some times i can't not find any file in kazaa than i have to seach at WinMX

I'm a WinM-exer too. Used to love the huge amount of search results and files but just got sick of constant stupendous Queing and it's incredible slowness. I gave up using it a couple of months back when it finally reached the stage of everything I clicked on being Queued at number 27 or something similarly stupid. WinMX had got too popular for it's own good, and now it seems the whole system has just ground to a halt.

Kazaa has less search results, but at least theres a LOT less Q-ing and it's a damn site faster.

I use to use winmx too worked darn fine for me as I knew lots of peeps (sharing a lot, makes lots of trading friends) But kazaa you didn't have to trade to get the file you needed at the same speeds 150+ kb/s so I switched to kazaa but the speeds I get with the last versions (darn Participation level) I'm tinking of going back. Trading is better than waiting for weeks before i get 1 moviefile. Hell what's the use of my broadband if i dl at 12kb/s if I'm lucky :angry:

[FONT=Times][COLOR=orange] I've Moved to Kazaa from winmx right after i got my cable modem - and see the way things were downloading i was amazed!.....i haven't touched winmx since then..... but recently i've giving winmx another try.... the reason being = i was looking for harry potter 2 on kazaa the day it was released Nov 19..... I knew if i was to search Kazaa i would get all these results of files that people have changed the names to - just to beef up their part level! (the people who do this I HATE THEM WITH PASSION). anyways so i just thought just try winmx and i ended up going to a ONLY trade chat room....where i found 50 people willing to help me take the file off them - NO i didn't have to trade anything as long as they saw i was sharing some files.... they didn't mind... so after 2 hours or so i had the movie.... WooHOo ... I believe you don't have to choose from using kazaa on winmX just keep both on your puter.... they both have something good about them..... for Speed i prefer Kazaa but you will find alot of rare stuff on WinmX they just need more users thats why you have to freaking quene all the time..... but you can find ways around it if you go to chat rooms and trading rooms. OMG my first post on here and i wrote soo much sooORRY :blink:
