Battlefield 1942

I have tried WinIso.....Nero... and Daemon Tools. CD1 gives an error on 3 files. I ignore them.. Get to CD2 and it says "Specified component cannot be found in the media. An attempt was made to access a component that does not exist in the named media," ANY help would be great. Not paying 50 bucks till I know it will run on my machine. Thanks...

Are you running these from burned disc or straight off pc via Daemon Tools? I just set two virtual devices via Daemon, mounted bin/iso images and ran the install from there without any disc. Iinstall was fine....I still had issues after a complete install with game locking after initial start though ;)


and btw I still haven't gotten it to work.......

Tried it both ways. I still get the error stated above.

Wish I could help further, did you download files as listed in Verifieds or just chose them? Try putting a request for those particular files in the Verifieds/Request section and replace them prior to installing? Other than that you may have to redownload....... ;)

See if there are different versions posted in Verified for this game, who knows maybe you have one that doesn't??

i had exactly the same problem as above ,i d/l from the verified and burnt them using nero , still not got the thing working someone out must know the reason cheers in advance

Yeah they are the verifieds.... Strange I know. I have seen some suggestions but still havent found anything that actually worked yet. maybe someone has the answer.
