I used to always download CD images and burn them on a CD to find out that it was just some other game or software, which of course wasted precious CD-R. I needed to find a ISO image extracter or something. I did some searching about the internet and soon found CDmage at CD Media World. Ive seen that people have been having problems with faulty CD images etc. You can extract your CD image and use it without using any CD's at all for those people that don't have a CD burner or no CD-R. Heres the link

You can also try daemon-tools (http://www.daemon-tools.com/), which I believe gives you a much greater range of options.
It can load cue (which you have to have with bin), iso, nrg(nero image format), ccd, bwt, mds and cdi. And I don't know what half of those are.

I have daemon tools v3.23 (which I believe to be the latest version since I downloaded it a couple days ago), and it does not seem to support .nrg files. I find that odd since it's Nero files and Nero is probably the most popular CD burner program.
I've got version 3.16, and that supports Nero image files.
Perhaps you have to install Nero Imagedrive in order to get that functionality (it comes with Nero but is not installed by default, it also has a poor interface).

I still suggest WINISO for all the newbies out there. Guys, it doesnt get much simpler then that. Just open the bin, and find the install.exe and away you go. If its mulitple cds, just extract all the info to the same directory, then use the install file.
As far as simplicity, for the new people, you cant beat winiso.
I've tried winiso, and it is no easier than Daemon tools, and it doesn't support as many image types. Winiso is ok as far as it goes, but Daemon tools goes further. Don't knock another software product until you've tried it.

In all essence it boils down to what your preferences is. To me I like Winiso and Daemon Tools..
"As long as it gets the job done"...and that's the bottom line! ;D

ive used dameon tools... i just didnt think it was as newbie friendly as winiso... he needed a bin open, plain and simple, winiso gets it done. and isnt as complex. no way a knock on dameon tools, just that winiso is prolly easier to use.
Hi everyone im new to this .bin .iso as i dont have a cd copier so i have avoided this type of file like the plague up to now. if i install one of these programs does that mean i can play the game/app all the way through without any error messages like `insert cd into drive d.
Ive tried deamon but didnt have a clue what i was doing (to lazy to read anything lol) so might give winiso a try
thanx in advance.

My ISO editor of choice is WinISO 5.3
Of course, I've never tried the other program, so I will refrain from knocking it.
I'll continue to use WinISO 5.3 until I find something I need done that it cannot do, and then - necessity being the mother of invention - I'll download the other program and see if it will.
If you throw "WinISO_5.3 + crack" in a KaZaA search, you'll find it easy enough.

really how would you do it with winrar
... just open an .iso file like it was a .rar or a .zip .... ;D
.... or, if it's not set as default, associate .iso extension with WinRAR ....
Options > Settings > Integration > Associate WinRAR with > ... and make sure ISO option is selected ....
.... plus ..... sometimes u download an ISO and a crack or serial separately .... with WinRAR u can easily add the crack to the ISO content and then burn them on the same cd if the .iso doesn't become too big ....
Good WinRAR tip, but I tried WinRAR 3.00 and it doesn't seem to support adding files to an ISO file.

... sorry ... I gave u a crappy explanation .... ;D
... what I meant was that u r not only able to see the content of the .iso file ... but u can extract its content to a folder ... then add more files to that folder ... and finally burn the folder content ....

i dont no what .cue files are for but do you need to extract in any way and put them to the same folder as u have extracted files from the .bin files or something?
The cue file tells your burner what file(s) to burn, and where to burn them.
Normally the file to burn is the bin file with the same name.
The rest of the information is about the various tracks and track types to be burnt from the bin file.

k. but do u need to extract stuff from it?
I would think that some progs might try to treat them as a data track if you don't have a cue file, but if it's any other type of cd image that won't work - you must have the cue file.

Isobuster will extract any *.bin file to wherever you want then can be burned to CD or installed from directory. So many ways to deal w/*.bin files but that is where the good stuff is so go out and try some of the methods listed here. Good Luck!!

use cdrwin 5, you can also unpack and run the bin file on a fake disk-drive, very easy to use
