Hi to all, I'm a newbie to this and I could use some help please...

I have installed Nimo Pack, but I still can't watch SIGNS (windows media player 9 or zoomplayer) All I can see is a green screen . Insted if I'm using VirtualDub, the movie is ok. What do you think guys is that a missing codec????

Thanks a lot

Do you have the XviD codec too?

Best thing is to uninstall all the codecs you have.
After that install the codecs EXACTLY as described in our FAQ.

I've tryed what you suggested.
Uninstall all codecs and reinstall Nimo with the specs in your FAQ after that installed XVID.

still the same green screen although gspot is reporting that I have all codecs installed on my system.

what else coud be wrong???

Open it in VirtualDub.
Set both audio/video to 'direct stream copy'
After that 'Save as avi'.

Perhaps the resulting file will play normally.

Do like me.
I uninstalled all DivX codecs and xvid codecs. Then I Installed only xvid to test if it worked and it did but with no sound cause it had ac3 sound.
You can install xvid codecs from here:
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html

Then I installed all DivX codecs separat (Not from Nimo).
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html

After that I installed Nimo Pack but unchecked all divx codecs and the xvid codec and also uncheck a direct show filter which is Ffdshow DirectShow 2002-04-19.Install Nimo from here:
http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/

Now all should work fine!

By the way,AC3 comes with the Nimo Pack.

Hi I have Windows Media Player 9. I have the required Nimo Codecs installed and also Xvid.

Whenever I try to play Die Another Day, Triple XXX or some other films. The Player crashes, and I get a lil window asking me if I would like to send an "error report".

But when I unistall the Nimo pack and Xvid. The movies play, but without sound.

Why is this happening?

I've also got Gspot, so I checked before hand to see what codecs were needed.

Cheers

I have a prob with SIGNS also.I tried playing and i got a green screen with audio.then i installed nimo package and my windows player kept crashing.I then uninstalled it and the movie played fine when i checked it,but i closed it out after about 5 minutes cause i wasn't ready to watch it yet, just trying to get it to work.
When i tried later all i get now is audio and picture but it's screwed up.Looks like a old time movie where it plays frame by frame. It's impossible to watch so what do i do to fix this?

Some one go over everything step by step so we can get this problem solved.People say what they think it is but don't offer enough in depth help to solve the problem.I'm sure it's in the codecs but so far i've got nothing.

Have you tried to do like me?

I unlinstalled everything reinstalled it like 5 times, used that program that tells you what codec is needed. It said i had both installed and it wouldn't play.
when it played the first time i didn't have the codecs needed.
I watched it for like five minutes then closed out media player.I tried like a hour later and got nothing.
I don't know what's up with it.I'm trying once again uninstalling and reinstallng codecs.

UPDATE
i just installed all the codecs, now i get audio with a green haze over the image whith bits and pieces visable.the codec program says both are installed and on other vids it says there not but they play just fine.

ANOTHER UPDATE
I uninstalled all codecs tried to view and got nothing but audio,i then d/l'ed xvid codec and it works now.It has something to do with the audio codecs.cause i then downloaded the mpeg layer 3 codec and it put the green haze back on.As of now it's working fine.Hope this helps.

NEW PROBLEM
Now it plays fine for the first 00:28:30 minutes then it says
THE FILE FORMAT IS INVALID
If i move the position bar to farther in the movie the sound and video don't sync up.Possible corrupted file or still codec problems?

XviD codec is still in development. its the buggiest codec around cos no matter what u get the green snot all over even if its the only codec installed.

use AviC FourCC changer and change the codec to DivX, leave the top one as XviD

did that with AP:GM cos it would not change scene correctly, it now works
