This problem involves fixing the files. I get this message when clicking on the fix.bat file.

Nandub Error
Couldn't locate decompressor for format 'XVID' (unknown)

VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.

I have tried to get the newer codecs posted in Darth Sushi's original two towers thread but I keep getting kicked out of the web site as a leech. Tried several ways of entering the site with no luck. Even went to the maker of the particular codecs site with the same problem.

Does anyone know of another way to get this codec?

Thanks

I'd try the nemo codec pack, I played two towers with it and had no problems with sound synch. I will say I had a bad part 00:7:43 into the first half that shut down my player. But all I had to do was restart the player (wmp9) at 7:51 and the remainder played fine.

I'd like to attempt repairs but I've got a lot of other things I'd like to do as well :)

Get XviD codec from here: Koepi's Build (04/10/2002) (http://www.roeder.goe.net/cgi-bin/fetch?file=XviD-04102002-1.exe) or Nic's Build (23/12/2002) (http://nic.dnsalias.com/XviD_Install.exe)

Hope this helps! :)
