Hey, I installed DivX Total Pack and have no sound on the XXX and Bond movies. I was told to uninstall Nimo because of conflict of codecs. What should I do? Should I have both packages installed?

I know the FAQ suggests Nimo, but I heard that DivX Total Pack is better.....I guess not if my those files have a mute only feature.

How about trying the latest Nimo Lite codec pak. Not that it's the fix, but if it has to do with the AC3 codec, its part of it and not filled with tons of possibly conflicting codecs.........I didn't have any issues before or after use of the lite pak but updated it anyway...................yeah I know but to me "if it aint broke, tweak it until it is"

Change players, try Zoom player (http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml) or BSplayer (http://www.inmatrix.com/files/zoomplayer_download.shtml).

Acecool, I've never had any luck with windows finding media codecs. Mine always goes out and checks and returns empty handed.

Here's a suggestion on setting up Nimo5b8

As for nimo5build8 I've found the following works great for most everything I've dl'd. But you have to make sure you've uninstalled all the non first tier codecs, like divx, xvid and etc. which you may have installed earlier.

check only the following in nimo5 ... remove checks from others
......Video Codecs
DivX 3.11 Alpha
DivX 5.02
XviD 28/06/02 (Nic's Build)
..... Audio Codecs
DivX ;-)Audio
......DirectShow Filters
Divx 3.11 Alpha DirectShow
Divx 5.02 Directshow
Divx AntiFreeze 0.4
AC3 Audio Decoder
......Misc Stuff
DivFix 1.07
Help Files and Misc Docs

I've setup numerous systems with these settings and WindozMediaPlayer 9 and have had no problems so far.

Try this one: AC3 Filter (http://umn.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/ac3filter/ac3filter_0_63b.exe)

Hope this helps! :)

I had the same problem with the AC3 codec. Additionally it crashed my system (i`m running Win2000 Professional). The solution for me was to install the K-Lite Codeck Pack 1.4
It has everything inside. first i uninstalled the Nimo codec pack then installed the this one. It works fine - finally i could watch films that use AC3 codec without any problems.
