I am trying to install and play NHL 2003. Yes, I got the game from kazaa.
I extracted all of the damn files onto my Hard Drive, I installed the game just fine. I replaced the .exe file with a NO CD .exe and I still can't get this game to work.
When I double click the ICON the screen flickers like the game is going to start but then I get a white screen the that stupid message pops up.
Page Can not be displayed.
I need some help, does anybody know what I can do?
I disabled my firewall, same outcome.
Do you have a recent videocard? If yours is too old, it probably can't handle the games load.
Do you have a recent version of DirectX? Get version 8.1 from microsoft.com

Yes, but it contains a couple of bugs. Plus 8.1 is faster. Plus there are no games yet that use DX 9.

Did it happen to have a regsetup.reg file within the game directory? I've mistakenly forgotten to click and add the registry file and found myself staring at a blank black or white screen. Once I incorporate the regsetup file, all is good. Just another suggestion to add..............
