How Do I Make Ifo And Vob Files

i have d/l a film that is a divx avi and i am trying to burn it as a dvd i know that i have to convert it to ifo and vob files so that i can burn it with nero. i am trying to use pinnacle studio 7 but i can't figure out how to convert the files . i have tried to use nero vision express with the nero mpeg-2/dvd. but this has just crashed every time it starts to write to disc. i have tried to save the converted file from nero vision express but it will not save i get a message that says nero vision exe. has created an error and will be closed does anyone know how i can sort this out please.

Man your best bet is to check out vcdhelp.com (http://www.vcdhelp.com). You will learn how to convert this to that, use that for this, etc....even has step x step screen shots to help. Just check out the sections to the left side. You won't go wrong :D

i have had a look at vcd help and i cant find anything that tells me how to do a d/l film. i should have also said that the dvd writer i am using is a phillips + R +R/W . and the the only things that i have seen on vcd help is about writing to - R . im not sure if there will be any difference in the the way i would need to convert the files .
