I like to make dance music on my pc, i have been doing so for several years, however its just a hobby, i'm not a musician. Anyway, i have managed to actually completely finish a tune and be completely happy with it (this happens about once a year if i'm lucky!) and i would appreciate it if you could give me some feedback. Like i say, i am finished it and any changes you suggest will not be implemented, but i would still like to hear opinions. You can get it here (http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~hbar)

cheers

ogg @ vbr...nice quailty mate...

Sounds very trance-tastic! What programs did you use to construct this masterpiece?

Wow, I thought they were just being nice when they said it was good. lol

I like it, though. =D

yea thats ok, i'm sharing it anyway. I used Propellerheads Reason 2 and steinberg cubase SX. Reason 2 can be used as an entire dance-music package on its own, but i prefer to have it coupled with cubase, because cubase has lots of nice plugins and virtual instruments. I have a few other tunes, but nothing like this one.

Thanks for the kind words people. :D

I've downloaded .ogg files before but am apparently missing some kind of software to listen. What do I need?

Btw Mzu, I love your sig quote. I've often thought the same thing but always felt it would be rude of me to express it out loud.

i know what you mean. i've played 6string and bass for years and written a ton of stuff and done some stuff with my machine, and it takes guts to post that type of stuff for the general viewing public. i give you a lot of credit for doing that

For not being a musician you have done a very good job. Folk make millions writing music like this.

Good Luck

VERY VERY NICE. I've heard other techno artist's work, and I have to say, you kick their asses!!! Where can I find more info on the machines you use? I'm working on my second (unofficial) album and I want it to have a techno/radiohead sound. Right now I am using Jeskola buzz. I tried fruityloops for a while, but I was so used to buzz that it didn't catch on. So any information on good machines that are affordable would be great.

I am a TECHNO fanatic! But I don't have "ogg" software to hear it.

What software do you need to LISTEN and COMPOSE it?

I might brush up on my KORG keyboard and give it a try, composing something too.

Nice tune - good to hear that trance is still alive and kicking in the UK, and not just that awful commercial stuff (I had a few run-ins with a 303 myself).
Keep it up mate.

GREAT MUSIC DUDE!

I tell you what. I hope there is more music from you. You are definately talented. I enjoyed the music. I envy you. You inspire me.

I got to dig the KORG out of tha attic and practice some of my own inner creativity.

May I have your permission to burn it onto CD? I need to listen to that on my way to work. How about a longer version, I drive pretty far at times. Sorry, I'm getting a little greedy here.

Keep it up, and pump out the tunes.

Some of my favorite artists are:
-Tangerine dream
-Christipher Franke
-Patrick O'Hearn
-Tesh
-Gnomusy (I know this guy from Gemanny)
-Yanni (only a few tunes)
-All New Age stuff
