Does anyone know the differences. I have downloaded all the codec's I can find, the different DivX players the Xvid codec and avi codecs but still some DivX won't play. I've adjusted the open with in the file (Windows media player or DivX player). Kazaa theatre will play some Divx and not others. Is there anyone who can help me. I'm a complete computer idiot and can't find an answer at the Winmp site or the DivX site. Do certain codec's work against or interfere with each other?

Have you tried getting the latest version of FFDshow I used it and it seem to fix all the probs I had

The only codecs you really need are in the nimo codec pack,Dowload Nimobuild 8 and do a custom install without there xvid or ffdshow,those 2 installed on your computer will turn your movies in to a blank green screen,download Xvid separatly from www.divx-digest.com and install,Oh uninstall all codecs you have present on your computer before installing nimo,this way there are not too many conflicts between all the codecs.Post again if theres more problems.
