Can anyone help. I've managed to finanally work out how to make VCD's from Divx films. The only problem is that when I play the VCD's in my DVD player, every so often the picture freezes for a length of time, making me miss a portion of the film. This can happen about 3 to 4 times per CD.

Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what the problen is and how to fix it.

PS - I use Audiodud and TMPEnc to make the VCD's and then Nero to burn them.

Thanks ;)

Try using nerovision,as I've had no probs with that at all.

Using a higher quality cd like Memorex will most likely fix your problem, just like with cassette tapes, the best recording will be with the best tape, Memorex isn't the only one, there are other top of the line good quality makers of cd's, but if you buy something cheap, thats mostly what you get.

As previous, if you want to burn movies it is well worth paying the extra. I would get TDK or similar, I don't recommend memorex.

Generally it doesn't matter what kind of cd you use if they work. Cheap one's typically just don't last as long. Two likely reasons this is happening to you are:

1. You're burning them onto cd too quickly. Don't use anything over 4x if you want them to be reliable.

2. You have something else running when you are converting them and the process lags and then catches up creating a gap. Try turning off any unneccessary processes, and for goodness sakes, stop downloading while you're doing it if you are.
