Sound Problem

Lo,
Her indoors , has a pc with a problem (apart from the opperator)
if she plays a music cd through any media player , no problems UNTIL
she tries to do something else on the computer (ie open a file or browse list of programmes etc.)
then there is noise/interference everytime she clicks on or hovers over something on the desktop ,in a list etc..have changed the mouse , checked the speaker connections ,checked the settings etc. no help.
it runs from a creative sound CHIP not card.any suggestions (apart from swapping the wife!!)

I get this problem but only when I'm burning a CD, it makes crackles and pops whiel playing music. I have a creative vibra 128 card, I'm not sure what factors affect this problem though....

Try reinstalling the drivers.
