View Full Version : Cd To Mp3
Does anybody know how u can copy your audio cd's to mp3 format on your computer ??? And also how does Kazaa determine the quality at which u can download from? Such as 128kbps or 192kbps. Are you given the option to pick which quality or what ??
Thanx

Here's a guide to ripping cds and making mp3s http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/...ydeneaclame.cfm (http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm)
The quality is determined by the files being shared. It's already set for each file after ripping and conversion, and you'll find files at a wide variety of quality.
You can filter by quality in your searches, though. Just select more search options in the audio category. Then select quality, then you just select how and at what bit rate you wish the files to be.

The easiest way to copy CD tracks to your hard drive is to use windows media player. However, this will give them the file extention .wma (windows media audio). If they have to be .mp3 extention, use CDex, its really easy to use.
Hope this helped.

dbpowerAMP is a music converter which includes a CD ripper (program which converts Audio CD tracks to files on your computer).
It's free to download here. (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm)

I use CreativePlay Center 3. I have found its the best CD ripper because it can extract at 302k\bits when Windows Media Player maxes out at 192 I think.

Windows Media Player maxes out at 192 I think.
WMP uses .wma format, which doesn't need as high bitrates as .mp3s.
Really, dbPowerAMP dMC is the best. Try it and see...
I use Audiograber
It does what i want it to do
i hope this helps.
Audio Grabber is good & so is MPegDJ, i have used em both with no problems.

And also, Windows Media Player 9 has a mathematically lossless conversion option, so it is at perfect CD quality, but it is ridiculous filesizes, like 500 MB a cd.
