Strange But True

Do perfectly good files sometime corrupt for no real reason when downloading and need downloading several times before you get one to work? :blink:

I'm sure i've downloaded the same files (MOHAA CD_1.iso.exe and MOHAA CD_2.iso.exe ) 3 times.
The first time the file was unreadable.
The second time the file had 870 errors and would not repair (using a great program called CDmage)
The third time the file had 875 Errors but would repair but would only partly install
So hpefully fourth time lucky i should have the game.

Does anyone have any advice about selecting the right verified files or fixing the knackered ones?
CDmage is great but any other recommendations are welcome.

sorry downloads will corrupt :(
try pausing before shutting down kazaa to avoid corruption.
also extract the files using winiso or isobuster
and when you download a new one just replace the corrupted files :lol:

I've downloaded the same medal of honour files. The first time i just tried to open them, and it didn't work. But what you have to do is take off the .exe bit so that it is just .iso

Then use winiso or isobuster to extract the files to your hard drive or a cd.

What were you trying to do with the files? Just open them, or did you take the .exe bit out of it.

Never thought of just replacing the damaged files. (Simple but still brilliant).

Right, i managed to get both file working and installed the game ok but, now when i try to play i get a message saying "Please insert the correct CD rom"
I've tried both disks and still i get the same massage.
Does anyone know what need to do now?

I looked on the second disk and found the NO_CD CRACK and thought this would solve the prob but when i did as the Text file which came with the crack said to do, the screen flash and finally switch to a dos Prog and said "tried to read from zip file gfx/2d/backfile.tga"
i'm now way out of my depths and hope some clever sole can sort me out!!!

I've just checked my MOHAA and no such folder/file exsists on my HDD.

Did you do the full installation?

try this as there are 3 different MOHAA no cd cracks and patches i know this one works
