Hello, I am a new user to Kazaa, and I have never burned a cd before. If I download music from Kazaa can I then burn that music to a cd? If so how is this done, I know a pretty basic question but I dont know the answer.
Thanks B)

If you want them to play in any car stereo/hi fi system you'll need Acoustica mp3 cd burner, which you can get from http://www.acoustica.com/ - i'd post a crack but I don't think thats wise with the recent verifieds thing goin on

Or,....since you're obviously a beginner and most likely using windows. Download the songs. Open windows media player. And the songs to your playlist. Then click 'copy to cd' on the left. After you feel comfortable with this I'd suggest looking into other players and burning methods.

Try using Nero software. It starts with a wizard which does everything for you.

If you want to burn MP3 files (the ones you have downloaded) leave the option as Data CD. These can be played on your computer or an MP3 player.

If you want to play them on a normal CD player chose Audio CD. Nero will convert them as it burns. Simply click and drag the files you want and the bar at the bottom shows you how much space is left. Then hit the burn button.

You can do your own compilations, change the order etc.

It's really easy using the wizard system.

Thanks Jim, should have offered that myself. I use nero practically every day. I wonder why it didn't occur to me? <_<

Nero doesn't make them fully compatable with all stereos/hi fi's etc (especially portables) :P

VB said it was some type of violation with Invision Power Board.

Mat

Thanks for the contribution, I wasn't aware of that and may have misled the chap.

It has always worked for me. As I have a fair sized family we have used them on about 6 different players including 3 portables. Always worked.

Is their a list of non-compatibles which swil could look at. Perhaps a website.

Cheers

JimF

PS just a thought, is it older players, I know some can't play CDRs

Nero burns are compatible with my Sony cd car changer. Shit even my old burner which used ez cd creator worked. Just choose your hardware carefully.

I'm 96.235% certain Easy CD will also do on the fly conversion. You can definitely use it to burn MP3 compilations. I take it it is a fairly new version as you are calling it Roxio, as it was previously Adaptec.

Yeah - if you have problems doing it with Nero use acoustica - that's what I have to do with my Crown discman.

oh, and JimF - my cd player isn't that old - got it christmas 2001, it can play acoustica burned cd's perfect, just not nero's. which is quite annoying cos it means i have to use two seperate apps :o

if you're a new user then CLONE CD is by far the simplest piece of software to use :D

I'm having a bit of a nightmare finding CD burning software that is compatible with XP and my old cd-rw. I used to use Easy CD 4.0 and have never found any piece of equipment that wouldn't play the cd's I had burned, whether it be hi-fi, portable, DVD or car changer.

Many people don't realive this, but the reason most CD's will work off and on is because people forget to FINALIZE the CD. If a Cd isn't finalized, some players/roms wont be able to read it and some will. I'm not sure exactly why, but that has been my experience.

Simple, go to www.musicmatch.com Very user friendly GUI. Its free & very much easier to use than Nero or Easy CD Creator. You can easily find a key generator to upgrade it to the full version for free.
I've recommended this to many customers with nothing but favorable feedback.
As far as player compatability. Bah. Any CD player made in the last 5 years will playback a homemade audio CD. If not, than the laser is getting weak and on its last leg(like a flashlight with bad batteries).
Cool thing is, alot if new DVD players will playback .mp3 CDs You can put 120 or more .mp3 songs on a CD. Great for parties.
Finalizing a CD is the act of making a CD recognizable in a CD player.
Buy the cheapest blank CDs you can find. There is absolutely no difference in audio quality. (blank CDs labeled for "audio use" are meant for home CD burners like the Phillips or Harmon Kardon dual decks)

hope that helps
