Reporting Bogus Files

Hi,

My first post here and I did do my homework trying to find this topic or the best place to post it. If I screwed up, apologies. Flame away...

When you get files that appear corrupt or, as I recently found, are not what they pretend to be, how do you make the community aware of the problem? Should you add warnings to the comments or file descriptions (e.g. ARTIST: bogus file) or is there a reporting protocol.

What other considerations apply to this issue?

just put them in the fakes, add the name of the file and exact size... that's all.. B) For other topics just use the search option on this forum and search for fake... You will see 2 much.

If you are going to keep the file, put warnings on as you have described. And give the file a 'poor' rating.
But I think it is better to delete the file to stop it spreading - not many people look at all the descriptions if there are multiple copies, I know I don't unless it is a big file.

I wonder how many people look in the fakes listing BEFORE they do a download Possibly for a big download on a dialup, but I suspect not many otherwise.

;) The same thing goes for songs checked by EncSpot,if it is in red put a poor rating on it,getting tired of people who put Excellent on 128,no 128 can be Excellent.
