How To Open Xvcd-p Video?

I downloaded a video and have no idea how to open it. There is written in a file name xvcd-p. Does anyone know how to open this? Or is it a fake?

is it a .avi?
you have codecs installed?
try videolan

sorry forgot to mention, it is *.mpg, i have kazaa codec packet... it doesn't work
