Quicklinks

I know quiclinks are great but it seems to me that people are posting quicklinks just for the hell of it.
I know its invaluable for getting verified big files like games/movies but is there really a need for single mp3 ql's when all you gotta do is search and pick the one with the most sharers.
Youll probably get it quicker as well instead of having to wait a day before it finally finds the file.

I think one of the good things about links to mp3s is that (unlike programs such as Napster) it is not easy to get full albums all from the same rip (eg, same quality and bitrate) - this is a solution. Another good solution is to zip up all the songs in the album and share them like that (its better than doing a Albumwrap job). Its easy to get albums from album sites but if they aren't by 'popular' artists or they are old (or you just don't like JAVA) then its not as easy to find good quality full album rips these days.

Quite right Flinger, i dont have to look at em but its pretty hard not to when people are posting q-links for their own collection willy nilly (OOer Misses), at least keep em in one thread and Dawn, i'm not on about album links, just peoples various mp3 collections.

And on the subject of full albums i'm coming round to the argument that albumwraps aren't as good as i thought they were. Zipping or Raring full albums seems to have a lot more going for it.One thing is the ability to include cdcovers/labels, after all most people who d-load full albums are probably burning them to cd and a scan of an original cover makes them look pretty, not to mention smaller files, allbeit only slightly but every little bit helps

Do you just need to add an mp3 extension to get them to show up in an audio search?
