While going through one of the other forums i visit,i came accross this program that allows you to put in a selected IP and it will block it.This is what it says on the Net Peeker site.....

It's a flexible personal firewall
With new predefined firewall rules, it can stop hackers outside attacking your system. You can set block rules based on applications, IP address/port number, DNS names, protocol type, and even HTTP URL. You can also setup effective time period for rules. With it's enhanced WHOIS function, you can trace back to the source of attacker and report abuse to the network administrator.

A Spyware blocker
You may never know that your personal information had been send out when you surf on Internet. Firewalls cannot help because they are hidden behind those "legal" application (IE for example). NetPeeker will identify Spywares and block their access to Internet. With NetPeeker, you can even find and block unknown Spywares all by yourself. No one can access Internet behind NetPeeker's eyes.

A network speed limiter
NetPeeker maybe the first utility on Windows platform which can limit data transfer speed for every application and every connection. Now you can control the usage of your bandwidth resource freely.

A P2P mate.
With NetPeeker, you can find out who is connecting you, you can disconnect any connection as you wish, set speed limitation on every connection, you can also trace back those annoying user, and block unwanted users.

Popup killer
NetPeeker can stop those endless popup windows when you surf on the Internet. It works with all web browser because it's technique is browser independent. It can even kill those "flying little windows". You need not change your proxy setting.

And a network speed meter
NetPeeker will simply display your total network transfer speed and speed for every application, so you can tell "why the network become so slow".

Now when i first read this and tried it there was only one version and it is still free HOWEVER they have released a newer version now that is free to try for 30 days(sux!!)....you can still get the earlier version and use that from their site.I put this up after reading alot of posts from paranoid peeps worried about blocking the RIAA and other anti sharing groups. The site can be found here (http://www.net-peeker.com/)...Thanks to LPDad @ UniteTheCows (http://www.unitethecows.com)...hope some of you find it useful...thanks :D

For all who like to know:
You can find the crack . Posting of direct download links to copyrighted software, private ftp sites, serial numbers, and Warez sites (including Serial Sites) are prohibited. Posts directly or indirectly containing this information will be edited. Sig2dat quicklinks and hashes are NOT considered to be DDL, so those are allowed.

nah, i have the bad IP blocker updater in RC12 of k-lite 2.4.2 which works just superbly.
and you can also block whatever IP you want by going to the badIP text file located in the directory you installed k-lite to.
just add any IP to this text file and it should block it.

Yes I did. I like it very much.. I appreciate the suggestion. I havent found it useful for blocking IPs since they all have to be entered individually but it is great to see who is connecting to you. It shows you stuff htat Zone Alarm wont. Stuff that runs underneath and connects to the internet that zone alarm doesnt allow you to know it is running in the background. Nice program for managing your system. I will keep it running. B)

bad ip's are address of computers connecting to your computer to log what you are sharing, downloading, uploading etc.
