Movies In Asf Format.... Is It Safe? [Archive]

I just downloaded an .asf movie file. When I play it, Windows media player wants to update the "digital rights management". Is this safe to do?

i would delete the asf file.

I would use AsfTools or EO Video to convert it to avi or mpg.
