Cant Download Please Help!

i have pc and an xbox connected up via a router
i have been using IRC for a week ro so and found that i can download well when my pc is only on, but whenever the xbox is on it will do nothing
i can connect but the downloads just wont start, can i only download with out xbox online?

i start download, leave for work, my brother gets home beofore me and lays xbox online, when im home the download is 0.00 and stuck, its happend a couple of times now,

how is ur xbox is connected thro a hub or switch to the router ? or u got a router with slots ?
u get the download window but it doesnt start downloading ?
what msg do u get ? "accepting send" ?
have u tried other bots ?
are u firewalled ?
it could be anything man so just try to be more explaining ;)
