Do I Need A Dvd Player?

Would I need a DVD player in my computer to play a DVD? Or can I just use Divx? I have a new pc but I opted out for the DVD and got the CD/CDRW instead.

you need a DVD rom or a DVDRW to watch dvd
CD-RW won't do the trick

You will need a DVD Rom to play or copy dvd's to your PC. If you have Divx movies you can copy them to a cd-r or play them from a cd-r.
