Get the latest eMule from edskes site. It contains an ip filter that blocks more than 9000 ip ranges.

You should run some sort of ipfilter/blocker, i recomend protowall far better than peerguardian and make sure you update the list regularly. ;)

Thanks people ... well since being caught :o .. Ive done a few things, raised the modified the options in outpost firewall for more security, installed peer guardian, and an anti virus program (not that this matters much in terms of being caught, but I feel better for doing so). Have also not used any form of p2p ... and wont do so till I'm fairly confident not being caught again.

What else can I do to secure my ass people? :)

Dont use peerGuardian. Use Protowall instead. Does the exact same thing as peerGuardian only more. http://www.bluetack.co.uk You can also use the blocklist manager to get the badip lists from like 10 difference sources and it compiles them into one badip file and then exports them into many programs like emule, kazaa, ZA, ect.

If you p2p like I do, you cannot have enough security against the prying eyes that have invaded the community. Drastic measures have been taken by the likes of the Riaa and Mpaa, as well as all the Sub-Contracted cronies of the movie and record industry.

Introducing their worst nightmare. ProtoWall + The Blocklist Manager.

ProtoWall Blocks incoming packets from Internet addresses that are on the Bluetack Blacklists. The Blocklist is supported Globally and then is sorted (Overlapping Resolved) and then converted to various formats such as ProtoWall, PeerGuardia & eMule.

Why does ProtoWall Standout above the rest?

External Firewall blockers are complete resource hogs and have a tendency to crash your system, but with Protowall it is Xp Driver Based, which means it blocks packets at system level which is extremely fast. Protowall uses less than 1% cpu usage, even under heavy upload/downloading and is much more accurate in packet blocking.

Does ProtoWall contain Spyware?

Absolutely Not! There are no hidden programs in ProtoWall and the code has not been released to the general public, to avoid cloning. The Bluetack team is committed to provide a p2p Security system free of any devious malware/spyware.

How much does ProtoWall and the Blocklist Manager cost?

ProtoWall and The Blocklist Manager and support are free of charge!

Is ProtoWall a complete Firewall?

No, it is not! ProtoWall only blocks Ip's (internet addresses) that are received from The Blocklist manager or manually installed by you. I run Protowall along side of my Norton Firewall with no problems.

What Protocol's does ProtoWall Block?

Protowall blocks all NDIS protocols:

IP/ICMP/TCP/UDP/HOPOPTS/IGMP/GGP/IPV4/ST/EGP/PIGP/RCCMON/NVPII/PUP/ARGUS/
EMCON/CHAOS/MUX/MEAS/HMP/PRM/IDP/TRUNK1/TRUNK2/LEAF1/LEAF2/RDP/IRTP/TP/

IDRP/RSVP/GRE/MHRP/BHA/ESP/AH/INLSP/SWIPE/NHRP/MOBILE/TLSP/SKIP/ICMPV6/NONE
/DSTOPTS/AHIP/CFTP/HELLO/SATEXPAK/KRYPTOLAN/RVD/IPPC/ADFS/SATMON/VISA/IPCV/
CPNX/CPHB/WSN/PVP/BRSATMON/ND/WBMON/WBEXPAK/EON/VMTP/SVMTP/VINES/TTP/IGP/DGP/
TCF/IGRP/OSPFIGP/SRPC/LARP/MTP/AX25/IPEIP/MICP/SCCSP/ETHERIP/ENCAP/APES/GMTP/IPCOMP/
PIM/PGM/

------------------- Hope this helps you understand ProtoWall----------------

The current version is: v1.42 build 5300

The Blocklist Manager

Blocklist Manager is an application which downloads blacklists from various sources and will export to applications such as:

Protowall
Kazaa Lite K++
PeerGuardian
eMule
Gnucleus
Shareaza
Morpheus
Many other popular P2P apps & firewalls
It is quickly becoming a Swiss army knife in network security with all the tools that have been added to it such as:

Angry IP Scanner
SmartWhois
AnalogX Simple Server
Aldo's Hosts manager
and more to come...
It also features its own app for looking up ip addresses with the whois project. The whois project was made as a team up from The Faimous One and Seraphielx to stop the confusion of having to know what IP Addesss is listed on what whois server it will look up the IP for you.

The current version is: 2.41i

Also, try using firewalls too and dont use suprnova. And you should also install a spyware/adware blocker too. ;)

How can your ISP not let you use Bittorent? Are they blocking the ports? Well change the ports that bittorent uses.

And they shouldnt be able to scan your computer. Thats violating privacy. Just use protowall, firewalls, antivirus, spyware/adware blocker and you will be fine.

I am aware that a firewall does not hide your ip Broken, but thanks for reminding me anyway. I'll install protowall now then, is there a certain anti virus I should be using? Or does AVG do the job?

For Bit Torrent, what sites shall I use then?
Oh, and thanks for the warning, I wont go for the newest releases then. :)
Can one be caught downloading from http:// or ftp:// servers?

Bit of a bitch for this to happen three days before I get my 1mb connection :(

it's a cable...this bastards wont leave me alone! they send me two of them notice for downloading the newest releases, i haven't responded to them yet.....whatever you do, don't get Comcast as your ISP because this bastards will sale you to MPAA for nothing.

I'm soon leaving them for SBC DSL witch are better on kipping your info privet....SBC are the only ones that have not given info on their costumers for downloading and Sharing files..
