Peer Guardian is an experimental firewall program. Among other things it...

- Detects and closes connections from specified IP ranges.
- Blocks out known P2P enemy IP addreses by default.
- Allows you to manually close connections that have been opened by other programs.

PeerGuardian blocks connection on TCP/IP.
(KaZaA, Grokster, DC(++), Fileshare, etc. use TCP/IP)

Come on guys, this is not an anti-leech program (although it can work for banning leech IP addresses). In fact, it is configured to ban those RIAA servers. :D

It could be useful for blocking out the RIAA, MPAA, MediaDefender, BayTSP, MediaForce, NetPD, Vidius, GAIN spyware and XUPITER spyware.

In fact that's exactly what it does!!!

I think that this program can be used instead of the Supertrick. We have to add those IP addresses of this ADS sites and that's it!.

Would be possible to have and auto-update feature where (if decided to activate it) updates the banned list every certain time?

Yeah, I'll be adding a few more features and also trapping connections as soon as they hit the TCP table rather than to the nearest 100ms (it's not been quick enough and some LAN users have said that the first packet or two of connections can get through, but i guess if it's on a local network on a LAN it's bound to be VERY fast. Just trying to tighten this up first and then I'll add an auto-updater option.)

We were not knocking the program (it sounds like a good idea), we were knocking you. When you find something you like, there's no need to splatter ads for it all over the board.
Remember, people who spam tend to get blocked one way or another, if you've got some good ideas you want to share with us that's ok, but don't bombard us with it.
