I've been wondering about this too. The site looks like it's an old backup now, the important news is dated 9-28-2002 and none of the forums seem to work.

I think the flinger seemed to know more about what was going on with Chip ::shouts accross the forum:: any chance of an update on the work in progress ?

plus the only thing that works on DK is, it blocks pop up ads, nothing ells works
Sharman blocked evry thing that worked with DK. what good does it do enymore

you are misinformed

1) why dont you release a better program?
2) also does:
- hop supernodes
- pause, resume, FMS ALL
- a boatload of crap i cant tell you about

3) sharman only blocks if you upgrade

4) kazaalite deluxe still works

Yep Delux still works.

Went back to it earlier today and doubled my download speed and cleared my crashing problems in one go.

I'll give V2 another go when Chip finishes his masterpiece :lol:

Does the multiple search feature still work in 1.7.2? Because I think that is the only real usefull feature of DietK.

yes, using 1.03 lemon in 1.7.x should still work for multiple searching

in the new version, it might work, but dont count on it.

instead, supernode hopping is the useful feature

its easy, and will probbaly have a back up list

but i dunno- chip aint talking to me :(

Find more search results doesn't work any more with Kazaa 1.7.X. All the supernodes reject any more that two attempts to search them (even with DK Beta 2, DK Lemon 1.3)

The jump supernodes and lists of them is the best idea as yet. Imagine we can take control of the network, we could decide which supernodes to log on to. A DK Kazaalite supernode runing kazaa 1.7.X so more search results worked. Knowing that the verified files are on the same node as you are.

This could give the power back to the user !!!!!!!!!

hmm, good / bad news.. (depending on how you take it).. i'm leaving to visit family for Thanksgiving in a few minutes, and I wasn't able to finish up DK 2.0 rc1 as I has hoped. but before you get sad/mad/angry/insane let me just explain to you that I decided to add 2 new features last night which I decided needed to be included in the next release of DK. the ability to auto-close that annoying upgrade notice has been added, and I'm almost done with a long awaited feature to "ignore" certain keywords while searching. also, i've contacted a couple people about re-designing this website, but if your interested and have experience moding forums, news scripts, etc, please feel free to contact me. alright, eat lots of turkey! (i'll be back in 5 days).

How many deadlines do you meet when you are not getting paid for something? :rolleyes:

Remember, the people making these nice little additions for kazaa are doing this for free. They are living their lives, building their futures and making these little programs in their free time.

If you guys need these programs bad enough maybe you ought to go to the library, check out a bunch of programing books and spend the next few months learning what you can and make the program for yourself.
