I am new at this and apparently I need step-by-step instructions on how to upload my music files so that I can share them. I am running kazaa lt. I have tried everything. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Just put them in your Shared Folder.

This is located in MyComputer>Program Files>KaZaaLite>Shared Folder

If it doesnt come up as xxx shared files in the bottom left hand side of the screen straight away dont worry, it doesnt update immediately. You have to wait a few minutes.

RF, it still doesn't work. I copied them from my CD to that file and it just seems like they aren't there. I think I need more steps. When I double click on a song in the shared folder it says that the cd isn't in the drive, or something like that. And they never show up in My Kazaa Lite.???

Did you 'rip' the cd or just copy the .cda(?) files?
You have to make mp3 files ( or wav) wich you can share

Its simple pal. You dont rip the cd's song, in Windows Media player there is an option called copy from cd ( i am making this very non technical) choose the shared folder to put the rips in. K-lite doesnt allow you to share anything higher then 100 bit rate i think. However, i am unsure. So just do that to make things easier and you should be able to play em.

So Mediaplayer rips the cd.... K-Lite has no bitrate limit, Kazaa does( you can edit the registry though).
