How many times can you format your hdrive before it starts damaging the hdrive?

Formatting doesn't cause damage.
Your question is the same thing as "How many times can I write to my drive before it starts damaging it."

HDDs are supposed to last like 10 years..... but 10 years from now, 200GB is like 200MB is now..........

im looking to upgrade my pc ive got a 900mhz 360 odd ram. so i guess buying a 200gig hdrive is out of the question :lol:
