i really haven't watched to many movies that require sub-titles. recentley i've got my hands on a few movies that have sub-titles. the problem is i can't view the sub-titles. i've tried using media player classic and bs player. i know that i used to use bs player a while back and the sub-titles worked fine, but now neither of these programs work. is there an alternative player or maybe i'm doing something wrong? i do what i've always did. open the player, open the file, pick the sub-title then play. hrmm, that should work. any other suggestions or just maybe some help plz. thx.

Do you have VobSub installed? I know BS-Player can play subs without VobSub installed.

yeah, i got that installed.
The subtitles will only display when the filenames (except the extensions) are the same. Example: topgun.avi, topgun.srt, or *.smi, *.sub, *.idx...

i checked. the file names are the same. guess i'll uninstall/reinstall kazaa codec pack and make sure that vobsub is indeed installed. i pretty sure i did, but if all is right then that must be wrong. hrmm.
