How Do I Use The 'quote' Button?

This is so embarassing but I just cannot figure out how to use that feature. It's been explained to me elsewhere but it seems to elude me.

My current understanding is that I highlight the text reference in the separate post and then hit the quote button, but then when I preview it the quote does not appear.

Could someone clarify this for me? :blink:

Hit Quote, highlight the part you want, cut/paste, Hit Quote

Not saying this is how you should use it....but it works for me :lol:

And I just found out UKGold have back to back Red Dwarf all tonight...so im off :lol:

No.

When you hit Quote it should read QUOTE, second time it should say /QUOTE

They are the wronge way around in your attempt.. try again

When you hit Quote it should read

One more time.

The second QUOTE should have a forward slash ( / ) in front of it.

It also works if you ignore the buttons and write it like this

Looks like I finally got it. Does the attribution (quoted user's name & time of post) need to be inserted manually or something?

you can also hit the quote button on the acutal post before you reply and i little box comes up in your reply
