Kazaa wouldn't connect... not it does, why?

I tried to conect with KLite but it wouldn't. So I looked at the F.A.Q and it said to press the circle that has a cross on it and looks like a emergency unit. I pressed it and now it connects? I just want to know why it wouldn't connect, when before it used to. What could of made this problem?
