I was thinking of getting one in the $500 area. Any good places to make a custom one?

I think a $500 video card would need something better then that to get its full potential

oops i meant for 500$ you would get something like a 500 MHz and a 128 RAM, i was just thinking about what video card i should get and i ended up typing it!

So this thread is about $500 video cards?

I'm not much into laptops but I think that $500 won't get you much of a laptop. Maybe used?

Yeah for $500 ur not going to find a very good one! But if u look around u can find some good prices... At newegg theres an acer laptop for $696 and it's pretty good but it's only a weekend special...
