Emule 0.23a ... How Can I Increase The Dl Speed

I recently installed Emule 0.23a and I am only getting a DL speed of 2-3 KB/s on my cable connection ....

Can anyone out there help me to increase this speed .. I followed all the "helpful hints" on their website?

Just give it time. You need to stay connected long enough to get more sources. Remember you are waiting in line with others.

Also, some people you connect to will give you fast speeds, but not all.

Set your upload speed at 10 or higher. That will increase your download speed and moves you more to the front of the queues.

I have a cable connection (64KB max download 16KB max upload.) If it helps these are my settings. You should also give the Tarod mod version 8a or 8b a try. http://www.emule-project.net/en/viewtopic.php?t=11222


capacities download=64
capacities upload=16

limits download=0
limits upload=13 (80% of my max)

max connections=1000

everything else I leave at the default settings! There's a more detailed explanation in the "read me" text file of your emule folder. Good luck!
Oh yeah, avoid any version 23 of emule, it's only days old, better to go for versions of 22c! I think this is your problem.

Thanks for all the help guys .... I uninstalled 0.23a and installed 0.22c ....

Just one question I DLed Tarod's mod (8b) ... but I am not sure how exactly to install it ... the Emule FAQ page was no help .... Do I copy all of the files to my Emule installation folder or just the .exe?
What is the eMule0.22c-Tarod.8b-sources.diff file all about and do I need to include it?
