That's expensive. I have a NEC DVD Burner that only cost me like 30 bucks off of newegg. It can only burn DVDs at 8x, but I'm not in that much of a hurry.

I'm going to break down and buy one this weekend . I don't know other than ghosting my drive or making backups of my software ? I don't d/l movies but mabye I should . I'm alowed 50 gb upload & d/l with this new ISP I'm on now. :naughty:
Just a thought , I have a fairly new cd -rw and a dvd r in two of my three bays right now. Should I just install the new dvd -rw in the M.T. one or dump the cdrw and keep for a a spare ?

You can also use the DVD burner for copying rented DVDs. :rolleyes:
The easiest is to remove the other optical drives and just have the DVD burner. It can do every task.

I think he's saying that it's faster to have two because you can put in the CD you want to copy and a blank CD and copy it that way faster.

my 8 month old burner writes cd's @ 32x the newer ones are even faster

Yep , I don't want to save to the harddrive first ,just disk to disk. But not that much longer I guess , Mabye save a little wear and tear ? But I guess at those prices who cares ! Hey I'm Scottish what can I say. :shifty:
