Linux Newsreader

Im looking to switch from vista to Ubuntu and know pretty much nothing about linux...on this particular pc all i do is dl from usenet fix with quickpar and unrar, then burn with imgburn/nero and use firefox...will i be able to do all of this on Ubuntu?

Well for people who were wondering the same question I used "Pan" which is a newsreader/grabber.

Alternativly search (in your package manager) "nzb" or "usenet" and see you you get.

EDIT: Would you mind posting the guide on Slyck?
