Releativly new kid on the block has far as distros go.
However do not let this fool you, pc linux will allow a complete noob to nix to first run a live linux from cd and determine nix compatability with his system and then you can install it to your hard disc. It is on one cd so less down loading pains, however this cd will give you a complete kde bassed system. There is also a tonne of the latest software from pc linux's mirrors via apt-get and synaptic.
Oh did I mention you can download a cd with nvidia's or ati's drivers for 3d acc allready installed.
PCLinux is bassed on Mandrake/Mandriva.
