Re: The Best Movies Nobody Has Heard Of
Some people haven't heard of The Wizard Of Oz.
Doesn't make it one of the best movies nobody has ever heard of. |

Re: The Best Movies Nobody Has Heard Of
The Lookout(2007)
Former child star Joseph Gordon-Levitt(3rd Rock from the Sun) makes a big impression in an adult role in this classic film noir. Gordon-Levitt plays Chris Platt a once promising hockey player whose life was forever changed by a tragic accident and who now finds himself the dupe in a bank robbery gone bad. Part character study/part thriller, it's slow to get going but once it does it never lets up. Other notables are Jeff Daniels as Chris's blind room-mate,Ilsa Fisher as a femme fatale and Matthew Goode as the very convincing villain. Good stuff. |

Re: The Best Movies Nobody Has Heard Of
The Lookout has been cited several times in the "Latest Movie" thread.
Gotcha. See my spoiler (here: post 1510) and tell me if you agree. Dinner Rush- Danny Aiello. A night in a very successful New York restaurant. Food is served and people die. This film captures- better than anything I've seen- the hustle and flow behind the scenes in a busy eatery. Fluid steadycam work and skillful editing move this film along at a very fast pace as you're introduced to and follow a whole restaurant full of characters. Enjoyable.
