Well, I'm not objective, really. I prolly saw more in Gladiator than most people since a big part of the movie is involved in my field of study (not the fighting, though). Was just having a discussion with my friends from college the other day about which movies we see differently now that we're here as opposed to say in high school. Gladiator came up and rightly so.
Like I said BH is not a bad movie at all. Mel Gibson's lunatic expression actually comes in handy there. Anyway, I watched Taegukgi hwinalrimyeo yesterday. If you're a fan of Saving Private Ryan you owe it to yourself to watch this. Because it's even better in terms of, well everything, the story, the brutallity and even the acting, IMO. And it does carry a message. Just make sure you have the stomach for it first.

Plus it's Ridley Scott ![]() Something to keep an eye out for is Forty-seven Ronin , although it's still in very early pre-production and may never see the light of day. |

Yep, I enjoyed Kingdom of Heaven too. If you haven't seen it yet, MBM, you should.

I have seen it, but now need to give it another viewing. I will report back after I have. Looks like a contender.
300...meh. Not in the same league with the others. Edit checked a few trackers for Taegukgi found it, and downloading. I have been grabbing a few off the beaten path movies lately. Which tracker was best for this? I'm not begging, but trying to find out if there is a reliable source tracker that I missed. I checked PtP, PTN, CN, Asia Torrents, and grabbed it on Demonoid. There were sources on almost all of these, just none that had many for the BRRip (2 GB) size. Demonoid rocks, yet again! I have been watching movies with a bit more of a critical eye lately, Martin. Give me a few more decades and I might be somewhere in Idol's league (assuming he doesn't get ANY more knowledgeable in the meantime) .

Sometimes it's good to be cool, I guess. I was told that this was one of the movies to watch in HD. I'm glad I did.PS: My goal is not to be like Idol. I'll never be THAT old.

You're lucky I don't have the energy to get up out of my wheelchair or else I'd kick your scrawny ass.

![]() Actually, that is what I expected- I was offered an invite to KG recently and declined it because I have yet to not find things I have been looking for. If KG, or some other site, was filled with gumdrop trees and candy cane forests, I might have been interested. I definitely don't want to dl 8+ GB for one movie. My aging eyes and tone-deaf ears just can't discern the differences to make that worthwhile. Oh, to be young and an elitez cyborg...Quote:

Dang where did I put that quill anyway? ................................................................ Back off topic I just watched WA(delta)Z aka The Killing Gene. A mediocre mishmash of Se7en and Saw/Hostel with a lot of atmosphere, a dab of character exposition and hardly any story. What story there is though centers around a world -weary cop saddled with a new partner who may or may not be up to the task (sound familiar) They are in pursuit of a torture killer. Starts off OK but doesn't really go any place and the part of the rookie partner played by Melissa George doesn't really serve any purpose.Basically just there to witness the veterans descent which may sound like a purpose but in this case wasn't. The ending also attempts to plum the same emotions as Se7en but nowhere near as effectively. Then it just ends ![]() With not a whole lot of tweaking could have been much better but it isn't .I give the Se7en wannabe a 4.5 Also of note some really strong violence/gore but I never found it as offense as Saw/Hostel/The Collector since it was fundamental to the plot unlike those where it is the entire plot. Will say that they did a great job of passing off Dublin for NYC though. Almost as good as Zombieland did in passing Hamilton off as California
