I am having so much problems with the download speeds to my comp from the seedbox.

I tried downloading via WinSCP and FlashFXP but speeds dont go over 10kb/s.

I do have a router but I am not sure what's the problem.

Anyone has any idea how to solve this issue?

thanx

Try to connect to your seedhost box without router > compare speeds > make conclusions.

Eraser,

It could be a matter of bandwidth not being available at the server end.

it could be the server load.

it could be the router you have is limiting FTP.

Sorry about that guys. guess I need to read the rules a bit more carefully.

ok, without advertisement:

Check that the server is not currently limiting the bandwidth(see how fast your torrents are running).

If they are running well, check that you can ping relatively well to the server:

ping ip

If the ping results in better then 100 ms, then you should be good as far as your connection to their server.

If all else fails, try to pull a file via a web link that is more then 1 meg(need the size to get a good read on the download rate).

If this is higher then your FTP, then you should find out of the server is running something that could be limiting FTP traffic(common with servers with limited bandwidth).

Disconnect your router, and try without that as well.

If everything above fails, then your ISP is probably limiting your bandwidth, and only they can lift that limit.

once again, sorry about the advertisement in my previous attempt to reply.

Ok the download speeds with CuteFTP are up at 20mb/s

which it looks like it was something with seedhost.

I did contact them abut several days ago, they told

me they will look into it and get back to me.

Today speeds are like I said between 10-20mb/s.

I dont think there is something wrong with my router

because I also use Cute FTP for another seedbox that I have with

different provider, and speeds are over 10mb/s always.

update: 3-15-10

I guess the speeds are back at 10kb/s

This should be posted on the site regarding USA customers. I don’t think that I am the only one that is experiencing this problem.
