of Darts starts tonight. It's being held in Dublin this year.
You'll remember that Phil "The Power" Taylor got knocked out in the first round last year (by a qualifier), so methinks he will be well up for it.
I'll keep you posted, obviousement.
Anyone have any predictions.

Yes.
I'll be bored after watching ten minutes of it and change channel.

I'm so pissed we don't have World Grand Prix of Darts over in the states.
Just kidding.
Posted by: Barbarossa
How are the audiences I wonder?
I've just remembered, in Dublin, the "Dart" is the name of the trains. Dublin Area Rapid Transit.
So I'm thinking, groups of Dubliners staggering out of Oliver St John Gogerty's, saying "Lezzz goan watch the darts, boyz"... they'd wake up and find themselves in Dun Laoghaire in a daze..
Whale. Oil. Beef. Hooked.

No need, your players come over here, get fecked and go home.
Oh and you have the Las Vegas Desert Classic. Which our players go over to and win.
Quid pro quo and so forth.

Whoa, like, dude! The scoring is backwards. Why don't they, like, miss the board and stay on 500.
Man, I would rawk so hard at this game.
Posted by: Barbarossa
Dude! What this game really needs, are Time-Outs, to give them time to work on the tactics, and the plays, like, maaan.
European sports suckz ballz...

Day Three about to start.
Alex "Ace of Herts" Roy looks really up for it. He's playing Wayne "Hawaii 501" Mardle t'night, should be a good game.
There's a couple of Irish qualifiers still in. Keit(h) Rooney used to be under Phil "The Power" Taylor's wing, but they kind of fell out. He was only 19 at the time but. He's playing Dennis "The Menace" Priestley t'night.
The only "shocks" so far are John "Darth Maple" Part and Bob "The Limestone Cowboy" Anderson getting knocked out.

Done me ankle in as well, hence knowledge of footal injuries.
Pranged it (kerb slippage) on Wednesday and being a wee soldier I thought I would walk it off. So carried on as normal (well as normal as possible).
Went to quack on Monday, she told me that there was significant soft tissue injury and that I must rest it. Asked if my walking up the 365 steps at Calvari (Pollenca) then back down had been a good idea.

She basically said that I was an arse, which I thought a tad h4r5h. Having said that Mrs JP (the sainted one) had told me to wait at the bottom with a wee cup of tea and the paper, to which I called her an arse. Karma methinks.
Posted by: manker
 Karma indeed.
Given the above, I'm left wondering if you shrugged off the kerb slippage in a similar manner - opting to walk with an awkward gait for a short while such that passers-by would be assured that you 'meant to do that'.
Those steps look unfriendly to even the most sturdy of feet, btw.

Then thanks fans for their great behaviour when he was throwing.

Lloyd wins 6-4.
Who will he meet in the final. I can't see beyond "The Power" winning it.
Posted by: JPaul
Taylor wins 6-0 in sets, only loses 5 legs on the way there.
Does Lloyd have any chance in the final.
I think not.
