Seems the site is slow and the nzb page maybe needing more resources is more noticably slow...

why dont you rar up the nzb files. They are all just text so they compress really well. I manged to compress a 4 meg nzb to 100k might save some bandwidth.

We looked into compressing them after they are parsed into rar or zip files but didnt quite figure out how to. The slow down on the new page isnt related to the that though. The page just takes more resources to load as far as I know so its affected more by any site slow downs. Im currently looking into the cause of the slow downs...

It would probably be possible to rar the files that get submitted using the command line linux version. http://www.rarlab.com/rar/rarlinux-3.5.1.tar.gz
im sure there is a php function to make calls to the commandline system() or something like that.

I've closed the NZB Index for tonight.
I'm doing some random checks to see if it's what's causing the site slowdowns...
So far it doesn't look like it so the index will be back later tonight.
