Break-in Period?

Just Built my computer, POST was fine, still need to install OS... God damn AP exams!
Anyway, how long should i wait before running graphic and proccessor intense applications like games and 3-d Modeling programs?
A week? two weeks? and what should I be breaking in my system with in the mean time?

You can run anything right away but first install something to monitor the temps.
You should even check the temps in the BIOS before installing the OS.
