Hi, i'm having a slight problem with my Ram on pc. I originally have 1gb ram. In bios it shows as 512. I thought that one ram is damaged so i took one out and i tried it. then i just switched rams. it turned out that both rams were working. so why is it still showing as 512 of RAM.:stars:

More info about general setup required (such as mobo, memory type etc).
Generally though, when you only had 1 dimm inserted, was it always in the same slot. If so, try with one dimm in each slot in turn to check if you've got a faulty dimm slot.
