http://www.playfuls.com/scitech/gimages/googleapps2.jpgThey have revolutionized the Internet search domain and are now planning to take over ALL of our Internet traffic. And that is no joke.

Starting today, Google releases its new Google Apps for Your Domain, a free package of programs for businesses, universities and other organizations.

Workers will be able to send e-mail with Gmail, Google's two-year-old Web-based mail service, but messages will carry their company's domain name. The package also includes Google's online calendar, instant-messaging service, and Page Creator, a simple, easy-to-use Web page builder.

The development of this free software package will mark Google’s debut into a market called “software as a service,” in which companies rely for some of their technology on services delivered over the internet, instead of buying software to run on their own machines.

I think this has some upsides and downsides...
For 1 side, you won't have to have the space in your hd to run the progs but for the other, if their servers suffer an attack maybe you'll lost some important data...
