[Software] How To Remove "My Sharing Folders" From My Computer

With Windows Live Messenger (v8) installed you'll have this annoying "My Sharing Folders" icon in your My Computer.
Of course microsoft gives no option to remove this so here's the method I found on google:
Method 1Click Start, Run and type:
regsvr32 /u "%programfiles%\MSN Messenger\fsshext.8.0.0792.00.dll"
Press Enter.
Note that the above file name may vary depending upon the version and build number for Windows Live Messenger. Therefore, it's better to see if the above file (fsshext.8.0.0792.00.dll) exists. For example, in build 0787, the file name may be fsshext.8.0.0787.00.dll.
Method 2
Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
Navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ MyComputer \ NameSpace \ {FC9FB64A-1EB2-4CCF-AF5E-1A497A9B5C2D}
Select the {FC9FB64A-1EB2-4CCF-AF5E-1A497A9B5C2D} key and delete it.
Close Regedit.exe

Thanks Ross , still had to right click then delete to remove icon in My Documents after running the script .

You could just goto My Computer within TweakUI (if it's installed) (http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUIPowertoySetup_ia64.exe)

There have so many updates to MSN Messenger (Live) that this fix no longer works, I think. Just Google, "remove my sharing folder" and you'll get plenty of results in the form of registry fixes. Just look for one that's been posted recently. :)
