Racists On Kazaa

I just had someone downloading from my computer who used the following kazaa username:
'F*ck_Arabs@kazaa' (* = u (just in case the forum don't allow such words :huh: ))
How can I stop this rather unenlightened user accessing my files?
I wouldn't share my stuff with this guy (?) in real life so why should I let him do so virtually?
Any ideas?

If you've read any threads on here about stopping leeches from getting your files there isn't much you can do without hurting non leeches, racists, pricks, etc. simply cancel his upload or send him a message saying racist can't download from you. If you block his ip address and it's dynamic someone else using it when they get it won't be able to access you or ********g whatever he's after will stop other people in line for it or looking for it from getting it. Stick with sending him a message telling whoever to fuck off. A principled racist will curse you out and go elsewhere or maybe you'll get into a discussion and offer some food for thought.

Block his IP address! Using either your Firewall or a program such as estop works well. I like estop because it tells you their IP address as well as where they are located and what connection and who the ISP is. Very cool. but use it gingerly, do not want ot block the wrong address, ie your ISP, etc.

I clear my blocked addresses about once a week, only when I have time to verify whoever reconnects, if they are sharing they stay, if not they get re-blocked. And if they are not dynamic and they are static (comcast, Roadrunner, etc.) you can boot them, make a note and leave them booted for at least a month without possible harm to anyone. So go ahead and block IP's, just be curtious and make sure to clear them out once in a while to insure you are not blocking sharers or non racists. Always remember you should Instant Message the person before you block them, give them a chance to reply with a reason. Who knows it may be a legitinate one.

Fling, even a dynamic IP can be blocked, but only until the yahoo signs off and back on in most cases.

I Never cut off someone, but in this case I gladly would make an exception... :angry:
Proposal: Why don't we all create a 2nd Shared Folder, especially for racists and child molesters? All filenames in this folder should start with 'racist' or 'kiddyporn'.
Ofcourse we renamed all those files wrongly! :lol:

ok, cool idea. but how do we defend ourselves if innocent non-racists/kid porn sicko's decide to check the contents of our shared folder, then the roles have been reversed...we are now the offenders for having such files, perhaps creating another folder full of fakes

You can't you have to have the pro version.
But if you don't want to pay, I'd suggest trying some of the other firewalls. I think some have options to block individual ip addresses.

Nothing you can do. You can block them but what a pain in the butt and does it really contribute to eliminating racism?
You can send them an impassioned or reasoned message but they won't listen. If they're real racists you'll just get hate spewed back at you.

I do not know if TOLERANT is right word or even the right message I would want to send. Have you seen a new member posting here lately with a swastica as an avatar? I think that is ridiculous and totally uncalled for. Don't the skin heads have their own forum somewhere? Tolerance is something you would do, lets say for a neighbor who is recently trying to learn a musical instrument, it bugs you but you tolerate it because your neighbors. Now on this note, I pay for the connection to the internet, the files I share are mine (now) and I should be able to message someone regarding their nic or handle or even if they are sharing or not and then boot them should I not get the reply I was looking for. You can only tolerate HEAD LICE so long before you have to kill them all. :D

So I guess which direction it is posted would depend if it is racist or not. I don't have time right now to do the research but it would be interesting to find out for sure.

You are correct, however the avatar is facing the wrong way if you are an american indian and the right way if you are a racist. Also, to verify you right click the avatar and check out properties to see where he linked from. I did and the site does not seem to be super bad (did not go into it, just looked at first screen), however there are White supremecy group banners and links off of it.

I am sorry Jetje, I did not have to do any research right then, already had researched our friends avatar and just watched a special recently on the origin of the symbol. That's what I get for watching Discovery, the learning channel and the histroy channel a lot, A whole bunch of normally usless knowledge, however everyonce in a while it comes in handy.

Like it's already been stated, the "backwards" schwatziga can be a religious symbol. Here in Korea, I think I've seen it adorn almost every Buddist temple that I've visited.
The schwatziga that the nazis used, and the one that our resident racist is using, I believe has it's origins with the roman empire. I remember seeing alot of mosaic floors with the symbol. The reason the nazis used it, I think, is because of their identification as the third reich. The first reich, being the Holy Roman Empire, the second being the unified Germany under Prussian control, and finally the nazis as the third reich adopted the symbol as way to symbolize their legitamacy with the great german empires of the past.
Now, back on to the racist, after reading the some of the comments, I've decided that at the very least, I will not interact with him on this board. As a person of mixed heritage, I find him not only offensive but disgusting and repulsive as well. I don't really think a change of his avatar is going to make me accept him any better.

I totally agree with you on the racist case. I do not believe that anyone is not of mixed heritage at one point. Remember christians believe we came form 2 people, Adam and Eve, that would mean at one point we are all related. Also if anyone were to trace thier respective heritage without fault or inuendo, they would most likely find either foriegn or racial genes somewhere in the family pool. My mothers family was French Canadian and American Indian, while my fathers family was full blooded Scotch, until of course he married my mother. I do not think nor do I believe that any one person on this planet is worthy of calling themselves PURE or WHITE. It makes me sick, who the hell wants to live in a world of one color, no shading or complexity. Not me, the differences in things are what make them appealing.

There seems to be agreement that the swastika is a symbol of the sun. It might have been a symbol of the most influential Arian Gods (Zeus, Jupiter). There are lots of possible explanations: It might be a symbol of the stars revolving around the North Pole, the four seasons, it might be a symbol of a human being (two arms + two legs), also something like the yin and yang symbol (masculine and feminine, movement and rest etc.). Some theories say that it might be a symbol of a maze, lightning, water in motion etc. Among some Asian muslims, the swastika is a symbol for north/south/east/west and the four seasons, for some Chinese it is a "a collection of happy symbols, including thousands of good effects". Today not everyone would agree with this understanding of the symbol.
