I'd like start, like I'd smelt something, then I'd check my shoes, then I'd glance at the girl and her shoes and move away a bit, preferably not downwind.

Yeah, Diablo II without a doubt in my mind. Hardcore mode too, what an amazing challenge that presented. It kept me locked in for years. Rest in piece QuillRatCupcake (characters name).

Counter-Strike - longest game i've ever been hooked on.
Starcraft - Never could get bored of this game.
Zelda 64 - One of my all time favorite RPG.
Kid Chameleon - Favorite Childhood game.

I don't have one favorite game, but I have five.
1. Starcraft + Starcraft: Brood Wars
- Amazing strategy game.
2. Diablo 2 + Diablo 2: LOD
- It was hard to break the addiction that is this game.
3. Counter-Strike
- I can't even count how many hours I wasted, well spent enjoying, this game.
4. Goldeneye 64
- Definately one of the best games ever made. It was revolutionary for it's time, and the multi-player provided endless hours of fun.
5. Madden 03-07
- I first played this series in 2003 and instantly became hooked. Each year there has been new improvements (both good and bad), but in the end I'll always come back to this series.

I just started playing FF IX on my PSP with the PS1 emulator and it is one of the best RPGs I've ever played in my whole life, besides Oblivion, but that's not really comparable. I would say that it's one of my favorite RPGs.

im not such a hardcore gamer... but i admit i was once addicted to this one game when i had my ps 1... it was called "Herc's Adventures" :yup: and ya it was the best game ive ever played. it came out around 97 and i would do anythin in the world if i can get it here on PC. if anyone would have this file (i know Black-cats does :dry:), however i dont have an account... but ya its one of a kind game and id appreciate if i can have access to download that file...
i also loved generals, any strategy games as well as red alert 2...

Atari: Asteroids - 1981?I was 9 years old, and my parents had bought this intending to be a xmas gift for me an my brothers. We found it in their bedroom closet at the bottom of a shopping bag. Everyday after school before xmas break we would sneakily remove the game from the box and play it. Then very carefully, before my parents got home from work, we put it back where we got it...exactly how we found it. Within days I was on a mission to roll the score, and so I faked being sick one day and stayed home from school. I spent all day playing Asteroids and finally rolled the score. Few games since then can compare to the excitement of sneaking that game out and playing the hell out of it. Not to mention neighborhood bragging rights :)

I don't think there IS a "best game I have ever played" for me. I like most of the games I have played....but a personal favorite of mine is the Wing commander series...I STILL have the kilrathi saga (WC 1,2 and 3) and WC4 and prophecy. As well as WC privateer 1 and 2.
But then again there are other games that I have played that are not space sims that are equally as good. Like the Thief series (Thief Gold, Theif 1 and Thief 2 and Thief 3)
Then there are the games like GTA that are great also...to say just one is good is stupid.

Chrono Trigger (SNES) - This is my favorite game because of the insane amount of replay value it had. It was the first RPG I ever played that had multiple endings, the graphics were great, and the story was detailed and interesting.
